Watch The People Mover Report Daily on TV2!
Every Monday through Friday morning, WJBK-FOX TV2 in Detroit presents "Around Downtown . . . The People Mover Report." Each morning, at precisely 6:32 AM, lively TV2 Traffic Authority spokesperson, Jackie Paige, shares news about the daily events in Downtown Detroit, like concerts, shows, conventions, meetings, games, et cetera. I hope that this segment would address the service change. The change is highly inconvenient for those who live and work downtown. As a frequent people mover rider, I no longer see the people mover as a convinient transportation option especially in the morning.

Although we regret your inconvenience, the bright side is that coming back to your daily starting point is faster. Our studies showed that more people were interested in getting around on the east side of downtown than the west. This change allows for quicker trips for conventioneers between RenCen/Marriott and Cobo, Greektown and RenCen, Grand Circus and Greektown and more.
We do hope that you will continue to ride the People Mover. We have cut off nearly half a minute from the total loop and a round trip should not take longer than 13.5 minutes on most days. Best of all - it's still just 50 cents to ride for as long as you wish! A real bargain by anyone's standards! Trackbacks
